As an author, I really find the default wordpress visual editor, as outmoded while creating new post via WordPress Dashboard. The default editor consists an array of basic 15 tools listed so as to style text, while editing a post. But, using these tools, one cannot format a text for colour, size and other formatting options.

While searching through the WordPress Extend directory of Plugins, I found WP-Super Edit plugin for extending the capabilities of visual editor for wordpress. WP-Super Edit features to customize visual editor with all new HTML editor tools for wordpress like Font-Select, Font-Size, CSS Styling, and many more…

WP-Super Edit plugin is a robust and easy to configure plugin. The plugin when activated, creates an Admin Option Panel under Dashboard > Settings > WP-Super Edit. The plugin initially scans for the existing Visual Editor Tools, and then extends the existing found items with the new options. Below is a screenshots which explains the process.

On clicking the above Install WP Super Edit Button, installs the new visual editor to the WordPress Admin Panel and redirects to plugin settings panel for advance configurations. WP-Super Edit Plugin uses three Tabs for its extended capabilities, Arrange Editor Buttons for Visual Arranging the Rows for Tools Reference. Second is Configure Editor Plugins enables/disables various extended tools like font-selection, insert date-time, CSS Styling, etc. in the Visual Editor. Last is WP Super Edit Options, which contains the most general options like Enabling or Disabling the New Visual Editor, Resting to default settings, and Uninstalling the WP-Super Edit Plugin.
