WordPress 2.9 came with a cool new feature of assigning a thumbnail to every post ,that’s good but what if you wanted to have post thumbnails for your all the previous blog posts as well?
It looks really bad when you have related posts or archives shows no thumbnails for some posts as you have not assigned any thumbnails to them.
Solution to generating Thumbnail of old posts in WordPress
Regenerate thumbnail is a simple wordpress plugin which does the desired task here. This wordpress plugin allows you to generate thumbnails for all you previous posts ,and that too only by click of it.
Go to your media settings and enter the dimensions of the thunbnails you want for your wordpress blog posts
Once you have downloaded the plugin, adtivate it from the installed plugin section.
Now unlike other wordpress plugins, this plugin resides under the tools section of your wordpress admin panel.
Go to the plugin and simply click on regenrate thumbnails, wait for a minute or so(this may take some time if you have too many images to be resized) and you have just assigned the thumnails to all your blog posts.
