At some point as you make posts in your wordpress blog you must have thought of being able to your post excerpt or may be your post title without a login to your wordpress dashboard.
As of wordpress 2.8 this has been made possible with the front editor plugin .
This plugin not only gives you the power to edit your posts ,you can edit the comments of your blog and if that’s not enough for you ,your text widgets and images can be edited too.
Any thing that you can be edit from front end of your wordpress blog will change its color beige as you hover it .
As you edit your posts from the end you will have a miniature WISWYG(what you see is what you get) editor just above the post ,quite similar to the one you have when you write a post at the backend of your wordpress blog.
Once you have edited the post ,comment or a text widget you only have to click on the save button and that’s it ,you did not even have to login in to your wordpress dashboard.

Interesting. Any ideas on how secure this is? If it doesn’t require a login, how does it keep other people from editing your site? If it runs of a cookie, what if someone else views your site from your computer?
well you do need to login but only once,it only saves the hassle from moving front end and then back end,and so on ,but what if you wanted to edit a text widget in your sidebar,you would normally go to your back end and then go to widgets and then edit your widget,but with this plugin only need to double click on your widget from the fornt end and their you have it.this is just one ex,you can even edit your posts right from your blogs home page.i hope you get the idea now.
