by furhead on January 6, 2010

If your wordpress theme came with the built in tabbed widgets its cool, but what if you wanted to make another tabbed widget in your sidebar or may be wanted to show your tabbed widget only in selected pages or posts.

You can even make tabs in about 9 seconds(my recorded time) in the Wordpress default Kubrick theme.

Here  is a quick look at the Section widget that enables you to make some really stylish and good looking tabs in your Wordpress widgetised areas

Compatibility:-Was made for Wordpress 2.8.4 but then it has been only 2 months that we moved from 2.8.4 to Wordpress 2.9 so their should be no problem.

First lets have a look at some of the skins that this widget has to offer

Here are some more feature of this wordpress section tabbed widget:-
1-Make as many tabs you want,
2-Name them what ever you want them to.
3-Order your tabs the way you want
4-You can choose from 25 different styles for your tabbed widget and of course give it a stlye of your own.
5-This widget works similar to your defualt wordpress text widget(you can put any code you want in it as well)
6-Has combined features of both display widget and widget logic.(Both of them are used to exclude or include sidebar content from particular pages, posts etc)
7-Can be used again and again in your sidebar i.e you can use it as many times in your as you want.

This plugin looks really good and is easy to customize,I guess that you will now want to customize it as it has really good inbuilt themes of its own.

It looks nice for newbies to use, but then again it adds another plugin to your site. One has to be careful what plugins you install as it all effects loading time.

It’s nice that it comes with default styles, makes it easier for all.
