Wordpress Optimization plugin Super Cache Plugin

by Themepremium on November 5, 2009

How often we complaint of wordpress blog slow down and page loading time. The reason being is your Web hosting company. But that’s not true always there are something you need to do from your end before you ask your hosting company to look at the issue.

There are various reasons that your Wordpress blog is loading slow and one of the simple reason is wordpress has to serve php call to open same page for different readers.

This add more load to server and should be avoided by  using a cache plugin. There are many cache plugins available but one which I personally like and recommend for my readers are wp-super cache plugin. Wp super cache plugin stores your web page into .html format in cache folder and when a reader request those pages it serves from cache folder and lowering down the no. of php calls. This give an instant boost to your wordpress blog.

Even if you are not facing website slow down problem , wp–super cache plugin will speed up your blog.

Super cache is one must have plugin for any wordpress blog. Specially if you have high traffic wordpress blog and suffering from page load time issue, you should install and active this plugin right away.

Thanks for this post. It was more of a reminder. I was using this plugin sometime before. But after migration to later version of wordpress, I stopped using it. I think I should start using it again

You are right John, after blog migration Super cache creates problem and the best way to get rid of it, is by uninstalling it completely and install it. I’m glad it helped you.

Can you write a tutorial on how to maximize the use of this WP Cache plugin? I have it installed but it has lots of boxes and options I can’t figure out by myself. I’d appreciate it very much if you will.
