Spamming has been always a major issue over the web, and controlling spam is just like a ping-pong game. Spammer usually uses the Input Text fields so as to inject into the websites creating security holes and corrupting the database. Overcoming this vulnerability by spammers, developers have worked hard to make secure contact form with extended capabilities so as to control the spam. Blogs and websites using wordpress platform can use the WP-Lightform Wordpress Plugin as a Basic Contact form for wordpress blog visitors.
WP-Lightform is a contact form coded using AJAX and PHP, so as to enhance contact forms for the blogs. The AJAX support extends the form validation capabilities and other custom form elements. The contact form features to control spam by prompting visitor with an arithmetic query.
Basic configuration of the plugin is to enter email address, you wish to receive inquiries on. Open send.php on a text editor, under the wp-content/plugins/wp-lightform directory. Find the $to parameter and replace it with the email address you wish to enter.
In order to view the contact form, it requires to create a new page and add a shortname [lightform] to the page. Below is a screenshot which will clear how to add the shortname.
